MRNJ’s Health Access program uses a promotora model to ensure immigrant and low-income families are able to access and navigate the health care system, including finding community health services, health care enrollment support, referring and connecting community members to free and low-cost local resources. MRNJ also supports community members to learn their rights in a health care setting.
Our vaccine program has connected hundreds of thousands to vaccination and COVID-19 testing. MRNJ also offers wellness and mental health support groups to ensure community members have access to the additional support they need to manage these challenging times.
WELCOME CENTERS
MRNJ welcomes new migrants through our monthly welcome centers. These centers provide new migrants with a robust array of services, including healthcare enrollment, vaccines, legal orientation clinics for asylum law, as well as access to food, clothing and other services. MRNJ launched the Welcome Center in Elizabeth in partnership with the Union County New Americans Resettlement Ad Hoc Committee.
VACCINE CLINICS
We host monthly Covid-19 and Flu vaccine clinics and information sessions in Union, Passaic and Middlesex counties. For information about our clinics, testing sites, and to request free Covid-19 test kits email vacuna@maketheroadnj.org or visit our social media pages.

MENTAL HEALTH AND WELLNESS
MRNJ’s mental health program provides one on one mental health support and referrals, as well as support groups for a variety of ages and experiences and topics.
For information about upcoming support groups follow our social media outlets and attend our committee meetings.
